How to configure my local website into other language?
Gaurav,
What version of umbraco are you using? Also some pointers:
http://our.umbraco.org/documentation/Using-Umbraco/Multilanguage-Setup/
http://24days.in/umbraco/2012/multilingual-1-1/
http://umbraco.tv/videos/implementor/multi-lingual/creating-a-multi-lingual-site/introduction/ (have to pay for umbraco tv)
http://our.umbraco.org/forum/umbraco-7/using-umbraco-7/49865-Proper-way-of-doing-multilingual-website-using-Umbraco-7
For v6 and v7 there is http://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/polyglot
and just v7 there is http://our.umbraco.org//projects/backoffice-extensions/vorto
Overall you have 2 options do it as one site per language or one site with different fields for the language versions this is where the polyglot and vorto package can be helpful.
Regards
Ismail
Hi Gaurav,
Try to create new root node and set hostname for it.
http://our.umbraco.org/wiki/how-tos/running-multi-lingual-sites-under-a-single-domain
Hi everyone,
Thank you very much for the quick response.
I am a new in Umbraco CMS.
I replicated all the steps that are given in the video.
But still I am unable to find any changes after implementing all the steps described in video.
I am using Umbraco 6.1.6 (Assembly version: 1.0.5021.24867).
Thanks in advance
Did you create few subdomains ? Few root nodes ? Could you show to us your structure and hostnames window ?
THanks
