Images in page content breaking without user interaction?
We have been migrating a number of content pages from an old website to umbraco, and noticed that the links to the images that are inserted in the pages are breaking?
All images where uploaded to the media folder using zip upload and then inserted using the "insert picture" and choosing them from the media library. Once saved some of them (25%) stopped working (broken image icon in the tinymce editor). In the display mode of the page they still work strangely enough.
When i look at the picture properties in tinymce, i see that the url is:
Another thing i noticed is that the image width isn't respected either, the images are 150x150pixels, and the editor alters this when saving the page, squeezing the images in 150x33 pixels instead of 150x150. I can't correct this without deleting the image and saving them again: when i uncheck "Constrain proportions" and enter 150 & 150px, it still maintains proportions that it (wrongly) believes the picture has...
This is a page with quite a lot of pictures in it (42 to be exact)
temporarly fixed the content by removing all the widths, height and REL properties of links from the html source, search and replacing all .gif extensions and correcting them to .jpg, and publishing the page again.
I'm curious to see if this will occur again or not.
This issue was resolved when i replaced all the images with new copies that I "optimise & save for web" in photoshop, it appears there was something wrong with the images that i uploaded (created on unknown Mac software), and tinymce was reading out the image information wrong. This resulted in skewed/scaled images.

When i look at the picture properties in tinymce, i see that the url is:
url: /media/1184/historiek_ivovanhove.gif
name: historiek_ivovanhove.jpg
The image is a jpeg file, not a gif. When i change the url file extension back to jpg the image reappears in tinymce...
Has anyone here ever had similar issues ?
Kind regards,
Rik

I only have problems with this issue on one two pages (same images, different language for the text)

After opening and savind the page twice there are again issues where the .jpg extension has been replaced by .gif, thus breaking the images...
this is weird.
on another site where i don't have this issue (i recreated the same page, different server, different website), i can't recreate the issue...
I do notice though that the "rel" properties aren't added to any of the images... any idea what creates this?
I've been able to recreate the error after removing all third party dll's from my bin folder
I did some more tests, paste
in the html area of a page, and save & publish the page initially, the database shows the correct info:
Now when i load the page in the editor again, and I look at the page source, i see this:
As you can see in the code about the jpg file is renamed to .gif as it is being loaded into the editor.
Saving the page again results in broken images in my db & page content...
Any advice on how to test further / solve this issue is more than welcome!!!
Rik
The error does not reproduce when i'm using the "UltraSimpleEditor"...
Anyone?
