Canvas, anyone using it on clients production site?

What's the status of Canvas these days?

Is anyone using it on productions sites developed for clients?

There was a lot of buzz about it when it was first launched, and we did some simple testing back then and found a few annoyances and maybe even bugs. Now we have a client that requires this kind of functionality. A quick search on this forum brings up suprisingly thin results. Is noone using it or does it work so well no questions about it has to be asked?

If you have used it on production sites, what are your experience? Is it stable and well designed enough for clients with business critical web sites and no or very little patience with buggy features?

I don't use it because it doesn't allow me to enter properties that are not displayed on the page in view-mode...

so for creating new pages i don't see how i can use it.

For making minor adjustments to existing pages it should work perfectly though, but we're not in that stage yet for the projects we're converting to umbraco....

I don't use it @ all, nor does my clients.

Almost all clients of mine find it easier to use the backend. Also a problem with the canvas last time I checked is that when they create a new page it will get published but without any text. This makes it pop up in the navigation and they have to logg in to backend and choose "hide in navigation"

    Hi,

I agree with Frederik, I find it easier to tell my clients how to use the backend then using the site in Canvas mode.

    Cheers,

    Richard
