Umbraco and tinyMCE vs. Kaspersky Internet Security Suite 2010
My umbraco websites have been running all
fine so when Umbraco suddently had trouble displaying the tinyMCE
popups (HTML editor, Image editor), I started searching for the reason.
At first I thought it was something with Windows 7 or my browsers, but
then I started disabling various components in Kaspersky. It turned out
that the Anti-banner component in Kaspersky prevents Umbraco from
displaying tinyMCE popups correctly. So I just disabled Kaspersky's
Anti-banner component and installed AdBlockPlus in Firefox instead.
Everything works fine in Umbraco now.
I am sure Kaspersky will fix this in some release. Kaspersky is an
excellent product and this is just a small issue that can be handled
easily. I have not had any other problems with Kaspersky and would any
day recommend it. I am running Kaspersky Internet Security Suite
version 9.0.0.736.
I also use Kaspersky, although I have recently upgraded my desktop and I have not yet installed it.. ( opps! ) anyway, I thought there was some way of setting up white list sites within Kaspersky?
