Hi, I recently upgrade one bigger site from U3 to U4, I'd like to write email to customer, with some benefits, which new version has. But I can't find out any :-( and there are some limitations (margins and borders on images settings are lost after upgrade). Please help me find some advantages.
Petr
BTW:From developer point of view I know U4 uses membership providers, has masterpages etc....
Hi Petr, strange timing on this one - I did the very same yesterday with one of our larger client sites. Here's what we would have said, had we been asked ;-)
Faster: The content trees perform better in v4 and are more resilient when dealing with large group of nodes
More Secure: Take advantage of the latest security updates and move away from an older, unsupported version
Compatibility: The v4 admin panels have less cross-browser problems than v3
Future-proof: Upgrades to the latest and greatest version will now be incremental upgrades - easier, faster and therefore cheaper to the client
Umbraco 4 benefits for enduser (editor)?

Hi Petr,
The interface is definitely a lot faster, so from a "content area only" user perspective they should notice that as a great improvement.
Have a look at this page:
http://umbraco.org/v4
And this V4 release document:

Also it is worth looking at this review of Umbraco 4 over at CMS Wire:

Cheers,

Then if that's not enough, go to the web2.0 bullshit generator at http://emptybottle.org/bullshit/ and just make something up!
