i have a problem with the interface by using Umbraco 4.0.2.1. The interface acts really slowly.
On some document types I have used a lot of properties. Also a few content pickers and an Ulitmate picker. The document types with more properties are more slow.
Will this make my Umbraco interface slow? And how do i solve this problem?
I think I have some doc-types with 6 tabs and probably 5 items on each tab and they respond pretty quickly. Obviously the larger they are, the more you are having to download when you open the content nodes.
I would suggest you do the following:
Have a look using something like Firebug to see how much data is being downloaded and how long the different files are taking.
Ensure you have caching enabled on your server and that files are correctly being cached
Also if you are currently using a remote server, have you tried the same on a local installation and do you find you still have the same speed issues, it might be related to your hosting or bandwidth.
