I'm trying to create a user with minimal permissions and I'm having a few problems.
1) I want to remove Notifications from the context menu for this user. It's not an assignable permission. I've looked at the source and made the change to make it assignable, and it appears to work, but I'm wondering if this will cause other issues?
2) I also would like to remove Audit Trail from the context menu. It is assignable and can be removed via the User Permissions section, however, it still shows up because there is another action "Unpublish" that is not assignable, that uses the same permission letter 'Z'. It looks like this may have been a workaround to support canvas mode.
My workaround is to set the Unpublish action to assignable and change it's letter to something else ('G' I think). Then I am able to configure things how I want them.
What is the purpose of having non-permissionable actions? Are they critical to the proper functioning of the system?
