Umbraco keeps on suprising me with handy UNDOCUMENTED features that are already baked into the framework.
For instance the whole page redirect thing comes to mind....
Anyways, I was wondering if there is a clever way to at minimum audit and ideally also analyze visitor click stream behavior.
Is this available? Has anyone done this?
Any help anyone has to offer would be very much appreciated.
Hi Dave,
I think most people these days use Google Analytics for this, I know I do :)
What are you trying to achieve by gathering this data? Is there some reason Google Analytics or another similar statistics package would not work?
Cheers,
Chris
Dave,
Chris is spot on. Additionally, check out this package http://our.umbraco.org/projects/google-analytics-for-umbraco. It should help you pull in that stats data into your Umbraco UI.
Thanks,Nik
Thanks for your quick feedback.
I just what to know who is going where to adjust pages, re order them, remove them if they are not getting hit at all.
I just quickly read about Google analytics and it looks like the basic data it collects should do the trick.
Are there any gotcha's I should be aware of? Things I might trip up on?
