Rich text editor - table editor - add style/class to table cell
Hey.
In older versions of Umbraco the table editor (component of the rich text editor) had the possibility to add a class to a table cell. The table editor in Umbraco 7+ seems to have lost that option... Is there any way to have that option back?
As Jeroen says it's not possible - I think you should have a go with the package he is referring to.
But may I ask what your scenario for using tables is? Just curious :) Is it a scenario where your editor needs to be able to add a class? If so is it then a high end editor that knows a bit about HTML or is it a low end editor that does not know anything about HTML etc. - If high end then it might be possible to teach them how to add a class to the table using the HTML edit option?
We made a website for an administrative company, which has a lot of tables full of numbers and percentages. Difference cells/rows need to get different shades of green/grey.
In their old website they were able to do this using the rich text editor table module. With the new Umbraco 7 rich text editor it seems no longer possible... (or perhaps this is related to TinyMCE and not so much to Umbraco?)
Ok, but all that data that should go in the tables...is that something that is meant to be managed in a table from a rich text editor? Or is it possible for you to generate the tables based on the data?

Hello,
Sorry I don't know if that's possible, but you might want to check out this package instead: https://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/table-editor

Hi Kris
Ok, but all that data that should go in the tables...is that something that is meant to be managed in a table from a rich text editor? Or is it possible for you to generate the tables based on the data?

Everything should be editable by our client using the rich text editor.
The client who knows little about html/css :-)

I just noticed, even row styles are no longer possible :'(
Also, does anybody have a solution for images alignment using the rich text editor? align and hspace ?
Thanks.
