    Media Picker with Preview

    UI Questions

    I downloaded the media picker with perview package, but this doesnt seem to be compatible with the newer version of Umbraco (I'm using v6.0.6).

    It doesnt allow me to choose any media. If i change the property to the original Media Picker, i can choose an image from the content, and then change the property back, it does show a preview. But then if i delete the file, i can't choose a new file.

    Seems to be a popular issue.

    Is anyone aware of any packages that will allow a preview of an image before selection?

    Hey Jason,
    Have you tried using DAMP?

    I've not actually used it myself in v6 but it is fairly popular.

    Thanks Jamie, I have just installed DAMP, but not too sure how to use it. It doesn't seem to create a property type, and doesn't make a difference to the original media picker.

    I will search the forum for hep with DAMP. Thanks for your help.

    I think the samples packages will help. This adds a few datatypes and there are also some some screen share videos to help you too. It's probably the best first step. :)
