How to customize backend UI?
Hi, I wish to customize UX of Umbraco Backend to polish some space and so.
Which are CSS files?
Hi Biagio,
You should be aware that making changes to core files is not advisable since they'll of course disappear if you decide to do an upgrade. Then you'll need to do the modification once again.
That said you can find the CSS files here: ~\Umbraco\assets\css
If you think that backend UI it should look like the changes you did, then you can create a pull-request to the core, and the maybe it will be accrepted, and get into the core. You can see more about how to make a pull-request here: http://24days.in/umbraco/2014/your-first-pull-request And read more about the branch setup here: http://umbraco.com/follow-us/blog-archive/2014/12/18/new-source-control-branching-structure It has changed since the article on the advent calendar.
You can fork the Umbraco project from GitHub, you can find it here: https://github.com/umbraco/Umbraco-CMS
Hope this helps,
/Dennis
