Are you behind a proxy or firewall that requires authentication? Did you protect the /umbraco folder to require a password (anonymous authentication is off)?
What happens when you enter the required username and password?
The site is hosted at a remote provider which means I dont have the required username/password unfortunately. I havent set any access rights on any folder. Im pretty sure the issue is related to userroles on the server but I dont know what to tell the providers to do. And frankly they're not beeing overly helpful :).
As expected the hosting provider hadnt set modify rights on the user running the Umbraco solution. They managed to set the correct access rights and the media upload works again.
Access error when uploading media
Hi
For the first time I experienced a problem uploading a n image to the media library.
After creating the media I try to upload the img and get a server authentication box as in this screenshot: http://fonqi.com/screenshot.jpg.
Anybody else experienced this or know what to do about this?
best regards Sune Fengel
