    Base document types

I've just install a package that has a document type that contains a child doc type. How are these created. I'm using 4.03

I want to do something like,

BaseContent  (doc type containing properties such as "meta description etc" )
    - Content
    - Article
    - etc ...

Also, is this a good idea. I think i've over heard a few issue doing this. But can't remember exactly what.

Mostly my doctypes are structures like this:

BaseContent (meta desc, page title, etc)
     - Home
     - TextPage
     - ...

BaseEntity (everything that is not a "page", like Teaser box, Product, etc)
     - TeaserBox
     -  - HTMLTeaser
     -  - ImageTeaser
     -  - ...
     - Product
     - ...

    BaseFolder (for folders)
     - TeaserFolder
     - ProductFolder
     - ...

The structure can change from project to project as most clients has different needs. I never created a package for the "basic structure" for new projects, I just create the doctypes I need from time to time.
