    adding styles to tinymce

    Hi,

    I want to create styles to use in the rich text editor. I've gone to settings->stylesheets and created a stylesheet.

    I have pasted some styles into the big text area that appears there, but they do not show up in the styles droplist while in the editor.

    I did create one by clicking 'create' and filling out the form and that one does show up.

    Is the only way to add styles is to click 'create' for each one?  If so, why is there a big text area there?

    Thanks,

    Karen

    Hi Karen

    Yes hat is the way to do it. First of all, you need to have a master-stylesheet attached to your Richtext Editor. Underneath this stylesheet, you must create all the different styles you need in the "Style"-dropdown. One by one.

    So that is the only way?  I can't just paste a bunch into the text area?  What is the text area for?

    Not as far as I know Karen. Unfortunately. I don't know why the textarea is as big as it is. Maybe some of the more routined users can answer this.

    The big textarea is for a standard CSS style sheet you can link in your templates using the standard notation like:

        <link href="/CSS/MasterStyles.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

    The styles defined in there will be applied to the matching elements in your pages based on that template.
