i am building an image gallery which is added to the page through the html editor using a macro.
it works at the moment using the standard content picker which allows me to pick the gallery node i want to display. [ i did not want to use media folder as i wanted description and title and so on]
i was wondering if it is possible to use the ultimate picker to specify the parameter for the macro, or is there another option that would allow me to specify the top node so that the user is only able to choose from the gallery nodes, not the whole site.
can i use ultimate picker to set macro parameter?

Datatypes are not directly usable as macro parameters. Richard has made a blogpost on how to build your own macro parameter type here:

Using his example you could populate the dropdown list with just the documents you want the user to be able to choose from.
thanks morten, i'll have a look
