    Moving admin tree menus

    UI Questions

    Ok guys heres a good one for you...

    In my opinion, I would like to see some of the tree menus from the settings appear in the developer section.

    For example, I would like to see my document types and templates in the developer section rather than settings to save me from switching all the time.

    How easy is this to configure in Umbraco? I have successfully added another section but I dont want to move anything until I am sure it wont break the system

    I think it's possible to move them by changing some of the db entries in the umbracoAppTree table. Check for entries that load the document types and templates and change the appTree column...

    Haven't tried it myself, but may work (in theory)...

     

    Anyway, backup that table before you start fiddling around with it.
