tinyMce add style does not work completely in IE

    Hi!

I've added at style for "blockquote" for tinymce, Settings/Stylesheets/tinymce/ the style is named "Blockquote" and in field alias I also entered Blockquote

The style shows up nice in tinyMce editor styles-dropdown. And when I use it with FF the html is changed to <blockquote>selected text</blockquote> as I like. Same goes for Chrome. But in IE nothing happens.

Other styles, like h1, h2, h3 works fine in IE though.

    ... pause ...

Ah, while writing this I got a google hit on the problem... http://tinymce.moxiecode.com/punbb/viewtopic.php?id=14811

Ok, perhaps not the perfect solution since one needs to go inside the tinymce scripts. However I will give it a shot, and I add this post since it might be helpful for others with the same problem.

Ok, so now I answered my own q... But if someone has another (more straightforward) solution to this, please say a word :-)

A (perhaps related) problem I had with tinyMCE when using blockquote was that tinyMCE would create blockquotes as well as adding a class of "blockquote" to paragraphs inside the quotes.  It also had problems closing the blocks at the correct place when paragraphs were inside them.

I had to change it to ".blockquote" and make <p>'s with a class of blockquote.  Semantically inferior, but life is a little easier now ^^.

Hm, yeah. Definately better than not working at all. Thanks!

Another issue here is that <blockquote>mmm</blockquote> is not valid xhtml, should be a <p> included as well.
