i was just wondering if there was a way to move multiple nodes from one tree folder to another.. I restructured part of my site and wanted to move a pile of nodes at the same time..
If you right click on a node you can see there is an option called "move". If you click "move" on your parent node, you move all your nodes all at once and your job is done! :)
Yes, if you "move" the parent node, it moves the parent AND its children all together.
I wish there were an easy way to move ALL the children from one node to another (like an additional option in the right-click menu like "Move all children") An even more flexible solution would be for umbraco's content tree to allow multi-select, then operations could be performed on all the selected items.

Hi Tom

Hope this helps.

Hi Jan,
thanks for your reply..
but won't move being called on my parent node, move the parent node also?

I second Heather's solution, multi-select would rock bigtime.
I second Heathers and Amir, this would be awesome.
I third this... I voted for this on codeplex: http://umbraco.codeplex.com/workitem/29800
Hi,
I've written the Content Maintenance Dashboard package. with version 1.2 it's possible to bulk move nodes
Hope this helps you,
