Have a look at the project sections, there's a couple of search packages, each having their own feature set/functionalities. See if one of those fit your needs.
They are for front-end customer searching. What I'm after is search in the Media Section - like the search in the Content Section. Basically, a quick way to find and select images / dependancies when creating and managing media as a content manager.
Searching for media
Is there anyway (packages people may have developed or come across) to search for uploaded files in the media section?
When I say search, this is a deep search across all folders in the media section.

Umbraco Examine is capable of indexing media. And cuz it's cached through Lucene it's lightning fast and wont touch the database ;)
