BUG?? copying document type duplicates parents properties
hi
not sure if this is a bug or a feature, or whether i am just doing it wrong.
when i copy a document type, i was expecting it to be the same, with the same properties and tabs. what i am getting, though, is a new document which has the properties and tabs of the copied document type AND its parent.
ie i have, on my default document type, meta information, which the majority of pages will need, so i have just included them there. i then have a standard page document which has page title, body text etc.
when i copy the standard page, i have a new document type with both tabs and sets of properties.
obviously i can delete them, but i wonder now whether my newbie-brain is not structuring things properly, whether i should in fact not inherit the properties.

can someone offer a bit of insight here?
thanks
Can you report this on Codeplex? Make sure to add version and environment info for the core team to repro!
