When I think about moving a node to become its own child my head melts a little bit. Where would the root node be, and what would happen to the children of the node? When you move a node you move all children too so you can't select a child as the destination.
AFAIK you can't copy individual pages without copying the children
I guess that you want to make a copy of Node 1, and place it beneath the Archive node. If that's the case you'll probably have to place your archive in beneath a node that is not a child of the node you want to copy. I don't think you can make a copy without copying the childnodes.
The current node cannot be moved to one of its subpages
Hi,
I want to setup an archive for a certain document type.
When I try and move a page to the archive below it I get the following error:
"The current node cannot be moved to one of its subpages"
I have allowed this type in my new archive document type however it does not let me move it there.
Any ideas?
Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Scott
I have also just realised when I copy a page all the pages children get copied too - is there anyway to only copy individual pages?
Thanks
Scott

Thanks for the reply Dan :)
This is the structure:
Home
....Node 1
..........Archive
.................Copy of Node 1
.................Copy of Node 2
.................Copy of Node 3
If you imaging a terms and conditions page which gets updated every year, so there needs to be an archive and this needs to be manual.
Am I thinking about this the wrong way?
Thanks
Scott
If there's a way that you can keep the T&C page without children it would be a lot easier for you to move it around. Is that possible?

Does anyone know why I cannot place a child node beneath the other version?
Or indeed select a single node?
Are their issues with Umbraco's design?
Thanks
