Does anyone have a working example or some guidelines for creating a "Tell-a-Friend" form feature in Umbraco? I'm thinking it should be a global feature, allowing someone to tell a friend about any page on the site.
Should defenitely check out Warren's CWS2 package, which has this feature built-in. His package can be downloaded from within umbraco developer section. Expand the Packages node, browse to 'Umbraco package Repository - Starter kits', click the 'More info and download' to install the package from the repository. If downloading from repository does not work for some reason, download it here and install package through 'Install local package'
Hi Connie I can also recommend using CWS as Dirk is mentioning. But if you just need something even quciker and easier you could perhaps have a look at addthis.com where you can get one of those "share this" buttons, which has "e-mail a friend" functionality included.
It can be customized so it fits into your design and you only get the "e-mail a friend" functionality.
It can be an ok alternative if you just need something quick.
