Start with the answer for every question in Software Development, it depends.... Maybe you can provide some information on what the app is doing, Is it a complete enterprise App using a CMS, Mainly new UserControls, integrate with other systems? etc.
Yes, it is a complete enterprise app, private logins.
I want to be be able to create the UI for the user(s) with various types of forms, views, and I was told RadControls would be good for this.
Based on user roles, they can manage their documents with versioning, some users will be able to manage HR and payroll, and others will be submitting data from the field in terms of how much work was completed on the day.
Effectively, it is a custom enterprise app, and ASP.NET MVC may be the way to go, but I am wondering whether Umbraco would shorten the development process even more.
I am seeing Umbraco as other CMS from other languages [i.e. Expression Engine?], not seeing it as a development framework, based on the intro that I have read and watched. But the developer that is working for me said to give it a look.
Building a Web App - is Umbraco Right?
Hi
One of my developers suggested Umbraco to build a web application we were planning to build with ASP.NET
It is a webapp with various sections to manage pieces of a project.
Is he on the right track re: Umbraco? Or is Umbraco a CMS mainly for managing website content?
Thanks
