    Delete nodes hung - where is the content

    hi i deleted a node containing about 2000 nodes [it's ok, it was intentional]

    BUT,

    the process hung and i was left for about 40 minutes with 4 items left and the 'don't close the window'.

    eventually, of course, i had to cloase it, but the nodes i was deleting have just disappeared. they are not where they had been, and not in the bin.

    where are they? can i find them and get rid of them? are they gone?

    i am keen to clan up as much as i can before i hand the site over

    Have you checked in the database to see if there is any trace of the nodes you deleted, specifically the umbracoNodes , cmdContent and cmsPropertyData tables?  The umbracoLog table may or may not tell you anything.  

    When I have a large number of nodes to delete I usually do it in groups rather than the whole, for the specific reason of the process hanging.  It's a few more clicks but saves you from some of the problems.
