Got a really strange issue with this installation. I've a page inheriting from a template which we deleted from the CMS as was no longer needed, problem is the page still appears in the front end even though there is no trace in the CMS
Has anyone seen behaviour like this before and if so, how do we get rid of the phantom page?
Have you tried republishing the entire site, by right clicking on "content" in the content tree and clicking "republish entire site". This might solve the issue. Could be that it's still in cache.
Thanks for the reply - I most certainly have, multiple times but the phantom page is still there. Another problem i've discovered this morning is that content edits we make in the CMS are not being shown on the main site.
We have an iFrame to pull in data from the clients old asp site (to reduce costs for their development), have a property in the textpage to set this url but the link is still redirecting to the test url and not the live even though the CMS tells us it's correct!
Back up your umbraco.config file, delete it and the system should recreate it. Also, you may want to manually 'hard' publish the problem nodes again afterwards and then do a 'republish entire site' after that. Doing these things usually fixes any caching problems that I have. Also, does that iframe you are pulling in use a macro, and if so, is that macro cached?
