I have a project where I created a User Type named MediaEditor with the permissions to Browse Node, Edit in Canvas, Create, Delete, Move, Copy, Sort, Update and Publish. Next I created a user with this type. So far so good. Next, i gave permissions to some folders where some of them they could could only browse, others all the actions above. Let's start with tree content:
Index - Not visible to MediaEditor Videos - Visible but not editable - Video 1 - All permissions - Video 2 - All permissions - Video N - All permissions Homepage - Visible but not editable - Banner 1 - All permissions - Banner 2 - All permissions - Banner N - All permissions Press Center - Visible but not editable - Clippings - Visible but not editable - Clipping 1 - All permissions - Clipping 2 - All permissions - Clipping N - All permissions - Press Releases - Visible but not editable - PressRelease 1 - All permissions - PressRelease 2 - All permissions - PressRelease N - All permissions Testemonys - Visible but not editable - Testemony 1 - All permissions - Testemony 2 - All permissions - Testemony N - All permissions Etc...
In bold are the permissions that i gave to the user of type MediaEditor.
This works for all the nodes already created, but for example, when i create a new Clipping bellow the Clippings Node, it gives me the message that i don't have the permission to edit the content. I have to logon as admin, go the node and give permissions. For what i have read, when creating a node, it should have the permission of the User Type, correct? If so, why doesn't umbraco give this permissions?

Videos - Visible but not editable
- Video 1 - All permissions
- Video 2 - All permissions
- Video N - All permissions
Homepage - Visible but not editable
- Banner 1 - All permissions

Thx
