Map not rendering properly (in Umbraco admin area) in IE 7

    Hi there,

First of all, good job on creating such a great package and share it with the community.

I don't know if this is something that others have experienced. We have installed the dataType and it works like a charm on all browsers except in IE 7. You still get to see the controller graphics (navigation arrows, zoom wheel, etc.), however there is no map.

If you know a quick fix for this that'd be great! Thanks in advance.

    Hi Chen

Is this happening within the Umbraco interface or is it on the website the map is missing?

Is the map visible if you disable all css in the browser? If so then I think you have a bug in your CSS that needs to be adressed.

I'm currently also using this excellent package in a project where the map is rendered without problems in IE7.

Hope these pointers helps a bit.

    /Jan

    Hi Jan,

Thanks for the reply. The problem is within the Umbraco interface. I have disabled the CSS in IE7 dev toolbar, it pretty much destoyed the whole admin interface, and no map either. It could be a CSS issue, I'm not entirely sure.

    Hi Chen

Ok, my advise about turning the CSS off was only intended to be used if it was a rendering issue on the website and not an issue in the backend. Sorry for not being more clear on that.

I have just checked in IE7 myself and I do also experience the same behaviour. Don't know if there is an easy workaround.

    /Jan

    Hi Jan,

Thanks for looking into this. Do you happen to know where the corresponding CSS is located? It's probably a CSS related issue and I'd like to try some ie fixes and see if that will get rid of the problem.

Update on this issue, Tom has fixed the code for this and it will be part of the next release. (In the New Year - next week sometime.)
