I have installed the latest version into v6.1.4 of Umbraco. I have gone into the DataType and re-saved it after install just to check the pre-values have been saved correctly.
I added the datatype to my DocType however, it seems to work and the map shows. I can drag the marker around. BUT the location isn't saved when I save the node?
I can't see any JS errors in my Chrome console and I have added
Actually "High-5 You Don't Suck" - as it is a UX bug, annoys the heck out of a lot of users.
... and it has actually been fixed in the next version of the package... but I'd forgot to release it! #h5is
I've just added V2.1.0 to a V6.1.5 site. Haven't got as far as outputting the map as the back end doesn't seem to work right. I'm not sure how it should work but all I see is a couple of empty text boxes above a map (top one white with Search button, bottom one grey with Clear button) which is correctly centered on the lat & long I added to the datatype. However I don't see any markers and I was kind of hoping you could set the lat and long by clicking on the map somewhere. Anyway I got a lat and long from Google Maps and put it in the search box. Hit search and it put a marker in the right place then hit save. It doesn't save it though. When I retrun to my map tab, it's as if it's not been touched.
Please advise.
Cheers,
Craig
Ignore me! Didn't click on the marker then click "use this location". Works very nicely!

To the web.config just in case it was a ClientDependency issue... Any ideas?
Hi Lee,
Just checking if you click on the marker and select "Set as location"?
If not, I haven't tried it myself with v6.1.4 yet ... I'll add it to my to-do list :-)

HAHAHAHAHA!!
Yeah this 'BUG' is user error. I wasn't clicking on the icon and setting the location... Thanks #H5IS

Now I'll add that to my to-do list!!! :-)
Following up on this, just released v2.1.0, which auto-selects the first marker from the results.

I just installed v2.1.0 but I have the same UX bug. Have to go into the pin and click "use this location" to have it save the coordinates.
You have to tick the "Single Map Point" tickbox on the DataType ... then it works :-)
great works!
