I think you knew this question would pop up at some point ;) Any chance of a Umbraco 7 compatible version? Personally I'm not that happy with the new cropper in Umbraco 7 (using parameters on static content, no reusable cropped file available, etc.), so I'd personally love to see an alternative like this one :)
Probably not this year. Currently I am not working with Umbarco 7 and all I have seen and read about the new cropper looks very good. Although I think one has rethink the way how work with crops.
And as the new cropper is based on ImageResizer (see: http://imageresizing.net/ ) it might be possible to configure persistency or use their commercial caching extension.
Thank you for your response. And for giving me hopes for the future ;)
I'll try having a look at Slimsy. Maybe it would be a good temporary solution, or perhaps even a great solution. Thank you for letting me know about it

Have you seen package http://our.umbraco.org/projects/website-utilities/slimsy ?
It's author Jeavon is quite familiar with the new cropper. Maybe he has some tipps for you.
