Newsletter studio license file not working

    hi,

I'm using newsletter studio 1.3.3 with Umbraco 6.0.2 and today the client bought the license, I put the newsletterstudio.lic file in the bin folder and also restarted IIS a few times. However newsletter studio is still saying it's running in trial mode.. I'm also pretty sure the domainname is correct.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Hi!

Why did you go with 1.3.3?

I would recommend you to upgrade to the latest version - If you client don't have any data added, just uninstall and then run the new installer.

    Hi Khai,

Do you have 'Umbraco.Licensing.dll' in your bin folder ?

    Thanks, Alex

    Hi!

That file should be included in the install - but this one is using the PackageGarden-license dll. Version 1.3.3 don't have support for the new license model that was used to generate the license that Khai bought.

Yes i have the Umbraco.licensing.dll in my bin folder.. The reason why we are using 1.3.3 is because the project was already finished one year ago ( and newsletter studio 1.3.3 was the latest version back then ), but there were some delays and that's why the project is just live now. Is there still a way for you to generate a license file for 1.3.3 ?

Do you have a file called "PackageGarden.Licensing.dll"?

I see why you are on that older version. I'm sorry but the support for the new license model was added in version 1.3.4 due to the fact that the Umbraco HQ was closing the Umbraco Deli (where the Umbraco.Licensing.dll-licenses where sold).

I'm having a look right now and it looks like I can logon to the our.umbraco.org-backend and create a license for you - BUT the list of fixes is quite long and I would think that its a lot esier for you to upgrade now compared with doing it when they have real data in the system.

If you really need the license for 1.3.3 - send me an email (markus [at sign goes here] enkelmedia.se) with your order number and domain names and I'll fix it for you.

    Cheers!

    / Markus

I don't have the packagegarden.licensing.dll in my bin folder though. Upgrading would be better indeed, but unfortunately I don't have the hours to do this. We don't really have data yet, only a list of subscribers, but I can export them in csv and import them back in just as easily.  I'll send you an email for the license. Thanks a lot!
