    Initializing a send out

I have a suspicion that if you close your browser during the initializing of a send out, the initialization phase is interrupted. The send out will start, but only to those email addresses that where initialized.

I've had this problem where a customer of mine selected a list, but only a small percentage of people in that list (around 20% of 20k addresses) got the newsletter.

If you look at the initializing of a send out you see the counter doing this:

    0 of 156 e-mails has been sent.

    0 of 389 e-mails has been sent.

    0 of 576 e-mails has been sent.

    ...

    0 of 20.000 e-mails has been sent.

It was my understanding that you could close this window without problems, but now I think you should only close this window once the zero starts to go up, so when you see:

    20 of 20.000 e-mails has been sent.

    Is my suspicion correct?

    Hi!

What version of Newsletter Studio are you running?

I agree that the UI during send out is not perfect but the initialization is made in a separate thread so you should be able to close the browser if you would like to.

Maybe this is releated to this issues?: https://our.umbraco.org/projects/backoffice-extensions/newsletter-studio/comments/63659-Error-sending-newsletter-to-large-subscribers-list

If you see the same errors, please send me an e-mail on the address in the thread and I'll keep you posted.
