question is about license. Is same license valid for both versions (Umbraco 4-6
and Umbraco 7)? If we integrate Newsletter studio in web page that is running
on Umbraco v6 and later on upgrade to v7 will Newsletter studios license still
be valid?
If you select multiple lists where the same mail appears multiple times Newsletter Studio will filter out any duplicates. Yes the license will be valid for both versions of the package but there is breaking changes and you will have to take a lot of manual steps if you want to keep old newsletters / tracking in the V7-version. Mailing lists are simple becuse it's just a export / import to get them over but the underlaying tracking data-etc is harder. In that case I would recommend a clean install.
We will migrate to v7 only in case that customer decides for new page design. In that case we will almost certainly start from scratch – new installation. Losing old newsletter tracking data will not be a problem.
