Newsletter never arrives to (some of the) subscribers

This is not a bug, but rather a problem sending emails out. The editor sending the newsletter to aprox. 250 people reports that many of them never receive the newsletter.

I cannot see where the issue is or why so many of them never receive . Might it be a smtp problem or something else? Is there a way to ensure that all of the subscribers receive the newsletter?

We have a valid Newsletter license and the smtp is configured correctly, I think. Any help or input appreciated.

    Hi!

Most of the time these types or "errors" is due to SPAM-filters and security. What kind of SMTP are you using? If you are hosting your own server consider to try something like Mandrillapp (MailChimps infrastructure) or SendGrid.

    Cheers!

    Thanks Markus

I was thinking the same, but the newsletter editors don't care for explanations, want everything to just work. :-)

The website is using an external smtp (not on the same server/domain) from a hosting provider (something à la Google Smtp, but not Google).

    Hi!

    =D

True - I know. I would try Mandrill (it's free for up to 10 000 emails per month) and see if that changes the deliverability.
