Umbraco 7

Using the latest package and an Umbraco 7.4.3 nightly, I'm having trouble getting skins to work, even the default ones.

I get an error in the console whenever I open a newsletter draft to edit:

I was at the time of that post; I've yet to revisit the package since.

I'm convinced the issue is with installing the package, as the installation fails as it updates umbracoSettings.config. I believe that there are other, important steps in the install process that are never happening due to this failure.

I'd love to get this sorted out since I've halted my progress and the purchase of this package until the bugs are fixed.

Hi, Neos.

I still haven't solved the issue and decided to uninstall the package again since there were too many problems and it doesn't seem to be getting proper support for a paid package. It's unfortunate because we could really use something like this, but it's not worth the money or trouble.

Hi!

What version of the package and Umbraco are you running? This errors is due to a breaking change in the Umbraco core - in other words nothing to do with the package it self.

Can you edit the skins or doesen't the editor load?

Hi Matthew!

I agree that it took to long to answer here in the forum, we just missed it - sorry about that. We always answer questions sent to [email protected] and most of our clients are very happy with the support that they are getting.

I wish you would have had the patient to stick with me to debug the errors and issues that you had. It's impossible for us to test every single senario and to find all bugs by our self.

I think that you gave up on us too early which is a sad.

Edit: FYI the issues that you posted here was introduced by a breaking change in the Umbraco core and has no actual impact on the package except for the errors in the console.
