    Umbraco 7.4.3 and MySQL not working

    Followed instructions for MySQL kit,

    • Renamed old dll and moved it to a different folder
    • Copied the new dll into bin

    • Added the dependency (dependentAssembly) to web.config

      and received this error:

    Alex,

    It doesn't seem to be the same issue. The MySql.Data.dll that comes in the newsletter studio mysql kit seems to be an older version than the current version shipped with umbraco 7.4.3

    I'm guessing the mysql kit needs an update?

    I found this with UaaS too. "System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException: Could not load all types from "umbraco.DataLayer, Version=1.0.5948.18143", but it seems that the actual version of the MySql.Data.dll was 6.9.9.0 - an newer version than the expected 6.8.9.0. The following fixed it.

    @SkripnikAlex I've had too many issues running with MySQL cause a lot of the plug-ins I needed don't support it.

    Ended up sticking with MSSQL

    I also encountred this issue. But mine was complaining about MySql.Data, Version=6.9.9. I doubble checked the NuGet package in the package manager but version 6.9.9 was no where to be found.

    I ran the following command to update the package and it started working like a charm.

    Install-Package MySql.Data -Version 6.9.9
