    Error in ERROR HandleBounces.aspx

    Hi to everyone,

we are having troubles dealing with the bounce configuration.

First of all, the button "Test bounce connection" seems to do "nothing".

We are trying to send test campaings to "[email protected]" and seems to return a Delivery Status Notification but the analytics dont change in the "delivery failed" section. Also, open the "Delivery Status" email update the "opened the newsletter" section in analytics.

The log says: 2017-11-23 17:46:51,042 [P12000/D20/T66] ERROR Umbraco.Web.Scheduling.ScheduledTasks - An error occurred calling web task for url: http://xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx/AppPlugins/NewsletterStudio/Pages/HandleBounces.aspx System.Threading.Tasks.TaskCanceledException: A task was canceled. at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.ThrowForNonSuccess(Task task) at System.Runtime.CompilerServices.TaskAwaiter.HandleNonSuccessAndDebuggerNotification(Task task) at Umbraco.Web.Scheduling.ScheduledTasks._5.MoveNext()

    Any tip will be appreciated.

    Hi Ruben!

What versions of Umbraco and Newsletter Studio are you running?

It truly looks like something is not really working here, as the thread that gets started is aborted - do you see something in your trace log? Any errors or so? (Except for the one you posted)

Is this error thrown immediately or after some time?

Reg. the test-button it just tests the connection to the mailserver to see that it "seems" to work but it does not perform any work against the mail server.

Its really strange that the "Opened"-status is shown as this would need the tracking pixel to be loaded. It might be some software that "screens" the e-mail or so and download the pixel - I've never seen this issue before.

If you open your bounce email box in a webmail-client or something like that - can you see any emails in there?

If you prefer to take this in a more private environment to be able to share details - please send me an email: markus [at sign here] enkelmedia.se.
