    Subscription status explanation

    hi, i wanted to ask about what each of the subscriber statuses mean. from what i can tell:

    • unsubscribed - user has click unsubscribed link from newsletter email

    • bounced - user has more than 3 bounced emails (looked at the code for this one)

    • added - the user was just added to the system
    • active - user was able to receive emails?

    the thing i can't figure out is when a user is set to active. i imported a few thousand emails and i have yet to send any newsletter. in spite of this, i have some users that show up as active. why is this?

    Hi!

    The uses starts out as "added" after the first successful attempt to send to a e-mail it gets changed to "active", then from there you've got unsubscribed and "bounced" right - but there is a setting for the number of soft bounces that should lead to the "bounced" status, if it's a hard bounce it will be set to bounced directly.
