The table name NCITrackingItemsEmail1 that the errors talk about is not something that our package should have generated?

No, we don't have any custom code, nor we have another plugins installed. We have realized now the second error is because we reinstalled the plugin without deleting the tables first, but we are still getting the first error we posted. We have also tried with clean install of Umbraco, and there are no errors in the log file during the installation. The log file shows the same information than the UI:

The last error that you posted is related to the tree-rendering, maybe something goes wrong there.

It sounds like permissions issues during the install,

Is there a newsletterstudio.config-file in the /config/-folder?

Could you make sure that it looks something like the default config?

If it's empty or only have empty values it quite sure that it's write-permissions thats the issue - also make sure that the IIS (or what webserver your are running) have full write access to the folders in the website.

We have checked the config files and this is what we have.

In the root web.config:

In the web.config we get a warning saying "attribute is not allowed" for overrideModeDefault="Allow" , not sure if that could be the problem.

Also, the newsletterStudio.config file is there and it is like the one you sent us, but with two differences:

tinyMCEDataTypeId="2345" lastInstalledVersion="2.1.9.3"

But we assume those two differences are expected.

We are running Umbraco from Visual Studio. Could that make a difference?

I think we finally found the problem, we are using a plugin that uses AutofacDependencyResolver (we uninstalled the plugin, but for some reason was still being loaded), and it seems that NewsletterStudio doesn't work when using other plugins that use Autofac as a dependency resolver.

Is NewsletterStudio using a dependency resolver? What is the best way to work around this issue?

Hi,

When using dependency injection frameworks with umbraco you have to add a registrer like for any external tool that has a tree controller (so has a tree element in umbraco).

I am not sure what the newsletter studio namespace will be but for examples of how this might look see:
