On an Umbraco 7.4.2 we have a Newsletter Studio 2.1.4 installed. We have a purchased license and the .lic-file is in the /bin folder. It's been a long while since it was installed and the licence purchased/installed, but it worked back then.
It's never been used, but now when it's actually going to be used I notice that it says "trial-mode". I've noticed some other issues, but this one is the primary to get solved first ;)
Most of the time this is because the website was started on a domain that was not included in the license, like a stage-domain or the azure website domain.
How are you hosting the website?
If you email me all the domains that you are using I'll update your license file.
