I'm hoping you're building a V8 project so that you get the best of Umbraco and the best of Plumber.
For v8, Plumber is a nuget install only, package name is Plumber.Workflow. That makes the package page a bit of a mess because it needs to have a zip attached to be valid, so the zip is for the v7 version. Clear as mud yeah?
I'm not able to mark the supported versions, that can only be done by other users (which is a bit annoying since people tend to not come back and do so). Latest version will be fine on 8.7 (from memory) and above.
I've seen your GitHub query too - there is some documentation in the package section in the backoffice, but admittedly it's a bit lacking. Would be good though to get some input around which particular docs would be useful.
Is it possible for you to add another Package saying Workflow for Umbraco V8 and link to Nuget and compatibility version stuff?
Regarding documentation, It can have two sections
1) Administering workflow (Levels & Approvers definition, Email notification)
2) Using workflow (Approval from email, Approval from CMS, My Inbox, My Approved items) etc...
On our.umbraco, plumber shows all versions as Unsupported
