Hi - can anyone confirm by direct experience that Plumber v 1.1.4 is compatible with Umbraco v 7.13.2? (as the package compatibility report section on the website hasn't been updated...)
Also, it is possible to upgrade Plumber incrementally from early versions eg: v 0.7.5 to a release version ie: v 1.1.4?
Or does it have to be uninstalled, and then the latest version reinstalled?
I haven't used it extensively on 7.13.4, but it is certainly compatible - if you're on an older Plumber version, that's more likely to have issues than the latest build (7.1.5 as of this morning)
The indicators on the package page (for all packages) aren't a great indicator as they depend on other users providing the feedback.
You should be fine to install over the top of your current version, straight to the latest release. I handle some database changes internally, they'll all run in order when you install.
As always though, run through an update in a non production environment first, just in case!
Hello, I was wondering if there's a timeline for Umbraco 8 compatibility. I'm about to develop something that might be built around this plugin and it's just to evaluate if it's better starting this with Umbraco 7 or 8.
Cheers,
Giampiero
I am in a similar situation that I have a project that is close to kick off, Workflow is a hard requirement so it very much influences whether or not we choose Umbraco 7 or 8.
@Nathan please let us know if there is anything we can do to help test the beta.
I'll add new releases every so often until I'm out of beta. The core workflow component hasn't changed from 7 to 8, since that doesn't touch on Umbraco at all. It's everything that interacts with it that has been changed!
Things have taken a bit longer than I'd hoped, have to prioritise paid work, but the beta is pretty solid. Should also be possible to upgrade from 7 to 8 without any pain.

No worries! Happy to help
Is plumber schedule to work on v8 anytime soon?
Yes. Working on essentially a complete backoffice rebuild, and substantial changes to the rest of the package.
No expected release date yet, but won't be too far away.
All right! Thanks Nathan! Looking forward to it! :)

Hi Giampiero, I'm hoping to have a beta out in a couple of weeks - it's feature-complete (for now), just needs testing.
Fairly substantial changes to how it all works, but still fundamentally does the same stuff.
I'll post updates to Twitter if you're interested (@nathanwoulfe)

Hi Nathan, it's great to know you are working on a beta for v8.
Are there any beta or alpha bits we can start testing already? Thanks!
Absolutely - https://github.com/nathanwoulfe/Plumber-2/releases/tag/v1.0.0-beta

v8 compatible version is on nuget now - Plumber.Workflow.
Requires 8.3 minimum.
