    Multiple year-folders

    Hi all,

I'm experiencing an issue where nodes gets moved to the last [uDateFoldersy] Year Folder node in the content tree when I set the date picker property to a year where there's no year folder matching. Running Umbraco 6.0.5 with applied uDateFoldersy update dll.

I.e., if I have the following structure:

    Content
         - News
             - 2013 (uDateFoldersy year folder)
                   - News item 1
                   - News item 2

          - Activities
              - 2013 (uDateFoldersy year folder)
                    - Activity 1
                    - Activity 2

and if I set the date picker property on News item 2 to 2014, it gets moved to a new 2014 folder under Activities giving me the following structure:

    Content
         - News
             - 2013 (uDateFoldersy year folder)
                   - News item 1

          - Activities
              - 2013 (uDateFoldersy year folder)
                    - Activity 1
                    - Activity 2

              - 2014 (uDateFoldersy year folder)
                     - News item 2

Which leads to a lot of frustration for the editors ;-)

Is there any way to handle this?

    Thanks in advance!

    Sorry for the late reply.

Did you find a work around to your issue?

Actually this is the functionality of the package. When you change the date, it will move the node to the new correct parent.

    Hi,

Same problem happens to me. Is there any  workaround for this problem? I'm using Umbraco 6.1.5, UBlogsy 3.0 and updated version of UDateFoldersy.

    Thanks.

    No work around atm. Sorry.

You could try using the autofolders package. But it doesnt have the exact same functionality.
