    Setting nonhashed passwords

    We have a installation where the passwords are in clear text ie:

     <add name="UmbracoMembershipProvider" type="umbraco.providers.members.UmbracoMembershipProvider" enablePasswordRetrieval="false" enablePasswordReset="false" requiresQuestionAndAnswer="false" defaultMemberTypeAlias="Another Type" passwordFormat="Clear" />

    When I try to set the password mapping in the import it fails and is blank

    We run version 2.0

    Any sugestions?

    Its just the password that is blank. The rest of the import is going OK

    Hi Kristian,

    Do you map the passwords or did you select the auto create password option?

    Thanks,

    Richard

    I map the password.

    I also tried to generate the password and that seems to turn out blank as well even though it appears in the generated email

    Hi Kristian,

    I can confirm this is a bug in CMSIMport. I'm currently working on a fix. When it's done I will add a link on this thread so you can download the hotfix.

    Thanks,

    Richard
