Will this work in the Media Library?

Can I use this to sort Media Library nodes (Images)?

    Hi Gordon,

No, it won't work with Media. For that I would probably suggest Media Sorter (http://our.umbraco.org/projects/website-utilities/media-sorter)

    Cheers

OK thanks ... unfortunately, it looks like "Media Sorter" does not support 4.5+ yet (I'm on 4.7).

Ahhh, sorry, didn't realize that. I'd probably push to get it updated, over trying to use Doc Sorter as it is very specific to Documents at the mo.

Sorry I couldn't be of more use to you.

PS, I know it's not automatic, but you can click to sort a folder, then in the list of items to sort, you should be able to click on a column header to say, sort by file name assending / desending.

Blooming 'eck! I didn't know you could click on the column header in the "sort" dialog??!!!!!

For this situation (just keeping images in alphabetic order) that will do fine!

Awesome! I think I got that tidbit from one of Dougs "Did You Know" sessions. Learn something new every day =)

    Glad I could help.
