    Hi Alexander,

It doesn't work with Umbraco 5 yet but we are looking into Umbraco 5 and thinking about when to jump into it.

We should be able to have somethink usable before v5 gets into final release.

    Regards,
    Sasa

Now we start new project with Umbraco 5, and uSB would be very usefull for us.

May be, you could release something like "version 1.3 beta" that's compatible with umbraco 5, now?

Does v5 need a version of uSiteBuilder? On this page it says Umbraco 5.1 will have code-first API.

Like I already said I doubt there needs to be a new version of uSiteBuilder for v5. The core team is already working on it: http://issues.umbraco.org/issue/U5-259

    Stevo and Jeroen,

We are working on support for version 5 of Umbraco already. We will have a new release of uSiteBuilder for version 4 very soon with support for Razor and some other features asked by community; after that we'll do some more work on support for version 5 of Umbraco and release a new version afterwards.

    Regards,
    Sasa

    Hey Sasa,

thx a lot for your answer! Is there any chance to get a beta version for Umbraco 5?

Otherwise i have to start my new project with Umbraco 4 because I would not miss the code first approach.

I just wanted to say thank you for the great job doing with the usitebuilder project

    Best Regards, Stevo

    Stevo,

    You are welcome.

We don't have a working solution yet. I'll make a post when we make something that can be called Beta and will offer people to give it a try.

Btw, I would personally still not recommend starting a new project with Umbraco 5 - there are just not enough packages/data types/controls that work with Umbraco 5 and that we are used to use in Umbraco 4 projects.

    Regards,
    Sasa

    Hi Sasa,

When the new version for USitebuilder will release that will support Umbraco 5. I am eagerly waiting for it.

    Hey,

5.1 is almost finished.. any news about code-first API? I couldn't found anything.

Jeroen - do you have some news?

    Thx a lot, Stevo

    Hi Indra and Stevo,

After consultation with Umbraco team we decided not to build support for v5 into uSiteBuilder. That is because v5 will soon get support for code-first and that will be part of Umbraco core.

I understood that we can expect to get code-first support in v5 before the end of this summer.

We (Vega IT) will still be supporting Umbraco v4 and will still work on the new features of v4 as long as there are teams working in v4.

    Regards,
    Sasa
