Where you are handing over a site to a client or project manager but still need to maintain the codebase - the ability to disable syncing of document type names, descriptions, icons, property names & descriptions.  All UX enhancements basically, as opposed to core functionality.  The idea being that a technical PM with Umbraco knowledge could edit these values in the Umbraco backoffice and a developer could still use uSB without fear of overwriting these changes.
