We've been using and loving uSiteBuilder for a while now and we want to add to it. We've already posted a patch via SVN but notice it has sat there for a while. We would like to do more but while the code is in SVN we are pretty limited as to what we can do.
uSiteBuilder seems to have got quiet of late, are you still actively developing it?
Any plans to move it to Mercurial or similar which would make collaborating much easier. I wanted to add Macro parameter wire ups in to it but saw you've already got it in just not enabled yet. Would be great to see that working (possibly with a filewatcher too so you don't have to recycle just for the mods to be picked up).
Cheers and thanks again for a great bit of kit, very impressive.
To be honest, we were quite demotivated in the past few months from continuing with the work on uSiteBuilder. That was mostly because of the comments we were getting from the Umbraco core team who were saying that Umbraco 4 is a history, that they are building a better code-first solution for Umbraco 5, etc.
Now when Umbraco 5 is officially retired, we’ve assigned a few tasks to some of our colleagues and they are once again busy working on uSiteBuilder from this week. We’ll keep everyone posted on the progress of new features.
A few people already asked us about migration to Mercurial and we agreed to do that. We’ll just have to find the right time for that task. In the meantime, if you want to contribute, just let me know and we’ll give you access to the SVN repository on CodePlex.
I spoke to you guys at CodeGarden about this several times. We are really keen to get stuck in and help on this but the SVN side of things is really a stumbling block for us if multiple folk are working on it. Happy to get it up and running on our bitbucket site for now if you like, could have that done in < an hour :)
Great bit of work, look forward to seeing how we can all make it even more awesome!
When you moving to Mercurial?
