    Issues with Comments

Hi i've just installed this great looking package on Umbraco 7.1.1 but seem to be experiencing some issues with the comments form. In firebug I get the following error:

Given URL is not permitted by the application configuration.: One or more of the given URLs is not allowed by the App's settings. It must match the Website URL or Canvas URL, or the domain must be a subdomain of one of the App's domains.

I suspect this is maybe connected with Facebook integration?

Also is there meant to be any validation on the comments form, as you can just submit blank fields through?

    Hi Vincent,

I believe that the issue you're getting with the Facebook integration, is that you haven't set up your Facebook app and allowed connection to it via your website address.

The form relies on MVC client side validation and should provide error messages in the following style:

    SmartBlog Validation Example

You can find a running example of a blog post at this address: http://smartblog.101test1.co.uk/posts/2013/december/test-post/

I hope this helps you with getting the blog up and running and thank you for choosing SmartBlog. If you need anything else, please let me know.

    Thanks, Luke

Hi Luke, thanks for the really quick reply! I didn't have the jquery.validate.js and jquery.validate.unobtrusive.js scripts in my main scripts folder, so thats why the validation wasn't working. Maybe include these in the package to install into the scripts folder?

I've commented out the Facebook integration as thats not necessary for my development. Maybe add an option to turn this off?

The blog package seems really good though, nice and polished. Nice that it has been written for Umbraco 7 upwards as opposed to hacking previous versions to work with Umbraco 7, like uBlogsy!

    Hi Vincent,

I'll look into adding the js files into the package for you, I'll be releasing an update today so I'll make sure they're in there. In the mean time, I've made an updated documentation file that covers such things as the Facebook integration, you can find it here: http://our.umbraco.org/FileDownload?id=11903.

I'll also look into creating a section in the management window for disabling the Facebook integration if needed, also thank you for the praise on the project, I'm glad you like it.

    Thanks, Luke.
