I've forgotten my password to get into Desktop Media Uploader and there isn't an obvious way to retrieve it. Could you provide me with some instructions?
As I remember it you use the same username and password as you use the login to the backoffice of Umbraco. So if you can login in to the backoffice then you have the information that you need.
If you canĀ“t login to the Umbraco backoffice, you have different options, first you could try to contact an admin or another user of the Umbraco installation to change your password for you.
BUT remember you are dealing with the database so be CAREFUL, so if you have another user on the system that can change your password, that would be the best solution.
Lost password
Hi,
I've forgotten my password to get into Desktop Media Uploader and there isn't an obvious way to retrieve it. Could you provide me with some instructions?
Many thanks,

Hi Nancy and welcome to our.
If this not an option then if you have access to database, could change your password dirctly in there. Here is a guide to how you could do it: http://our.umbraco.org/forum/using/ui-questions/49134-Forget-My-Password-For-Umbraco-Admin-Site
BUT remember you are dealing with the database so be CAREFUL, so if you have another user on the system that can change your password, that would be the best solution.
Hope thils helps,
