Could not load file or assembly 'MediaProtect' or one of its dependencies

hi there, we've installed the mediaprotect package. We were getting an error whenever we tried to delete media nodes though (something about an execute scalar error). I tried uninstalling the mediaprotect package and now the site won't run. I get the error message shown in the title. Any ideas how to fix this?

    Thanks, Simon

Hi Simon, Make sure all to delete all mediaprotect dll's from the bin folder then all should be good. I think the original error was related to a missing log table. I will make sure that this doesn't cause a ysod in a future release.

    Sorry for the hassle.

    Best,

    Richard

hi, I just tried that. Still same error I'm afraid. This is running on IIS7

Could not load file or assembly 'MediaProtect' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.

Sorry check web.config file also. There is a HTTpModule configured which could probably not be uninstalled.

    thanks, that cured it.

any idea if it could be causing an error deleting media assets? Once I removed the mediaprotect package, I can now delete media.

    regards, Simon

    Hi Simon,

I think the MediaProtectLog was missing and an eventhandler tried do delete the media relation in there. That will be fixed in a future release.

    Thanks,

    Richard
